Learning & Training Highlights
The objective of this learning solution is to assist my colleagues with learning the application of appreciative advising practices in higher education after completing a certification in June 2024. The learning modules follow the six phases of appreciative advising including Disarm, Discover, Dream, Design, Deliver, and Don’t Settle. Originally, I planned to use Articulate RISE, but shifted once I understood that this was needed as more of a learning supplement and “quick guide” view for advisors. Screenshots from the original were included, while ultimately, the finished product was housed in Padlet.

Videos and resources were created as an informal way to assist students in learning how to best prepare for enrollment as graduate students. Canva design software, Microsoft, Zoom, and MediaHub applications were utilized in the creation of these resources.

Advising Tutorials & Checklists
This learning resource was developed to assist advisors from various campuses in locating important forms, policies, professional development opportunities, and resources to aid in training efforts. I created the sections for Graduate Advisors, Prospective Students, and Professional Development by collaborating with a task force, collecting resources, and building the content over the course of several weeks.
